It was a great treat to be back starting the new school year off with a reading in Aberdeenshire at Woodlands Nursery. The children were so engaged, and I was so happy to be back sharing stories and adventures once more.

It is always such a joy sharing stories on the farm. It makes me just so, so happy. This year did not disappoint. Even the shells came out for a bit of sparkle. What a jolly time we all had and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of it, as always.

I am hoping to get my books published with acair books into gaelic. I think this could be a really exciting journey for Oscar, his friends and me. It was also a wonderful excuse to visit Lewis and Harris and explore the wonders the world offers around there.

On 10^th August I ran 6km for the National Literacy Trust. This was a big deal for me as I haven’t run since having pretty major surgery six years ago. I am aware of how important literacy is and would do anything to give children a chance to flourish in the world today. I believe creativity is becoming increasingly important in our modern world.
